The Makeover

www.trifectawritingchallenge.com

For this weekend's Trifextra challenge, write a letter of apology in exactly 33 words. Addresses, salutations, closings, etc. (should you wish to include them) do not count in the 33 words.

My letter of apology in 33 words (It's Friday; gotta have some fun!):

Dear Feet,

I apologize for winter’s neglect,
Your unsightliness none will respect.
Spring is time to soak and scrub,
Fresh coat of paint and lotion rub.
Into new sandals I turn you loose.
So… truce?

Sincerely,
Me

    1. Thank you, Rachel! With the word limit, I feel like I can say more with a poem, maybe.

  11. Clever apology, though one I'll never use. I live in Florida, my feet are in sandals year round so they don't get neglected.

    1. That's a blessing for them! My feet and legs don't see the light of day in winters here, so come spring, there's a lot of work to do. They deserve a good apology for my laziness. =)

  12. How perfect is this? I just got my first pedi of the spring and I told the manicurist to give my aching heels a little extra love. You captured it perfectly

    1. Winter air is so mean to the heels, no matter what kind of salve or lotion I use. Thank you, Gal!

  13. This is great, my feet relate but they'd rather it was winter so they can hide in cozy socks and boots and be left to their own devices without any of exposure and preening that summer requires! ;)

    1. Yes, I agree. I'm rather lazy myself. Warmer weather does require a lot of work! Thanks for reading!
