Transplanted

I used to dream of being buried in my birthplace half-way around the world.  Now, home is the roof that stretches over my children’s heads and the land in which they are rooted.

Here's my take in 57 words:


Begrudgingly


My elders have always wisely informed me, “When you become a parent, there’s nothing you wouldn’t do for your children.”  


So, naturally, when my children beg to eat what little watermelon is left in my bowl, I let’em have it.  
















On which night you’ll find the kitchen light on at 11 PM.
